Description
The platform focuses on a number of academic subjects, including math, physics, biology, chemistry, technology, and engineering, as well as the most crucial areas where students struggle. The CLIL4STEAM project's platform promotes the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach, which entails imparting knowledge of a subject's content (such as biology, physics, etc.) using a language other than the learner's mother tongue. Students gain knowledge and understanding of scientific topics while also increasing their language skills in relation to the subject matter. CLIL balances content and language learning in such a way that the second language is learnt in meaningful situations just as the first language is. Students' empowerment is encouraged by activities that have real-world applications and effective use of technology. Sharing, communication, and student knowledge construction also help to consolidate learning. Twenty video clips demonstrate the topics chosen based on the level of students’ knowledge, being accompanied by a topic description, a video illustrating the lesson and its language objectives, and any potential challenges students may face. The short videos illustrating scientific concepts are further reinforced by interactive activities from identified online resources and a range of quizzes with automatic responses testing students’ both scientific and linguistic knowledge. Additionally, the section offers teachers tips and specific explanations on how to utilize these resources to their advantage and incorporate them into an interesting and relevant leson. Students can do these tasks whenever they choose and at their own pace with automatic prompt feedback. The site could be used with students at risk of demotivation because the activities are completely adapted to this kind of students using non formal education methodology and its activities could be adapted to fully virtual or blended.
Procedure on how to put in practice
The Force of Gravity

Step-by-step description:
1. At home Flipped classroom approach/ Introduction – The teacher tells the students to watch a video about The force of gravity in English at home and do a task (answer questions: What is a force?/Types of force/ What is gravity/mass/weight?/The effects of gravity).
2. In class the teacher checks the asssignment and then checks comprehension by inviting students to do exercises (Teaching Resources – project)
3. Students watch a video where a professor explains the law of gravity and performs an exciting experiment which demonstrates the consequence of the law on free falling objects. The teacher sets students into pairs and asks them to find answers to questions related to the video (What is weight? What do scales display? Are mass and weight the same? up to minute 2.57).
4. The teacher launches an intriguing question: if you drop a large apple and a small apple from a tall building, which one will hit the ground first? Students negotiate an answer with their peers and then check their answer by watching the last section of the video.
