Description
IXL offers hundreds of seventh grade math skills to explore and learn (multiplication, division, exponents, number theory, decimals, ratios, percents, etc). There is a personalized Recommendation wall for teachers with intructions when using it for the first time teachers. This helps teachers to find a skill that looks interesting, or select a skill plan that aligns to their textbook, state standards, or standardized test. Each section is presented in a very concrete way with practical examples, gradually increasing in their complexity. Students learn with examples; they start by doing the operations, submit the answer and get an automatic reply. There is also a video with explanations if they need help. There is also an assessment tool, IXL's Diagnostic, which is a flexible tool that reveals exactly what students know and helps teachers take suitable steps to foster growth at every level. IXL's Diagnostic creates a personalized action plan for each student. With these recommended skills, teachers can have a simple way to fill learning gaps and facilitate meaningful progress. The tool addresses all types of students as it inspires students to take an active role in their learning with engaging questions and positive reinforcement that keeps students motivated.
